Mission Hill, MA Yellow Door Taqueria has opened at 1619 Tremont St. The new location serves up traditional tacos with an individual twist, on freshly made corn tortillas each morning. Varieties include Chili Duck: BBQ Chili, Roast Duck, Vanilla Plantain Mash, Pickled Red Onions, Cream, Plantain Cords, and Jackfruit + Apple: Avocado Mash, Green Apples, Pico de Gallo, Roasted Nuggets.

The full bar offers a stacked menu featuring several margarita flavors, a long list of tequila and mezcal, and carefully crafted cocktails, like the Chica Mala: plum cordial + cardamom, sweet vermouth, cava, lemon plus frozen drinks, beer , wine and tasty non-alcoholic cocktails.

With three locations in Dorchester’s Lower Mills, Boston’s Mission Hill neighborhood and the South End’s Ink Block community, Yellow Door Taqueria restaurants offer California-inspired Mexican dishes, along with an innovative and rotating cocktail program . Co-owned by Dropkick Murphys frontman Ken Casey, Brian O’Donnell and TV personality Taniya Nayak (HGTV, Food Network), as well as Colleen Hagerty and Jarek Mountain, the neighborhood bars offer cocktails and food revisiting traditional Mexico. City street food. all in a lively and unique setting inspired by the gritty beauty of Mexico City, the effervescent charm of Cabo, and the eclectic nature of the antique shop that once inhabited the space.

Taco destinations are open seven days a week for dinner, with brunch served on weekends.

Restaurants offer an innovative take on traditional Mexican cuisine, including a selection of tacos and staples like chicken empanadas, made with grilled pineapple, corn, Spanish onions, garlic, pulled chicken , chihuahua cheese and a citrus tomatillo sauce. Weekend brunch dishes include delicious entrees like chimichanga, served on a flour tortilla with cheesy scrambled eggs, sweet plantains, black beans, pineapple pico de gallo, and drizzled with homemade queso and thick salsa roja, and the pancake tacos, stuffed with cinnamon cream cheese and topped with fresh strawberries and blueberries, whipped cream, fresh mint and maple syrup.

The cocktail program showcases seasonal flavors and unique liquors, including a selection of margaritas and libations with ironic names, like the “Waking Up In Tijuana” made with reposado tequila, St. George coffee liqueur , cinnamon infused cold brew, vanilla whipped cream and cayenne for an extra kick.

Each of the Yellow Door Taqueria restaurants is designed by Taniya Nayak, one of the nation’s foremost interior designers, best known as a design expert on HGTV and Food Network, as well as her Boston-based interior design firm , Taniya Nayak Design. Spaces feature classic Mexican design elements, such as handcrafted floor tiles and rustic furniture accents, seamlessly blended with grittier industrial pieces, like neon “Taqueria” neon signs and chandeliers gothic hanging lights, providing the perfect setting for everything from an intimate hangout to an industry hotspot.

The South End restaurant features vegan leather seating, eye-catching murals by local artists, lush velvet tufts, metal accents and retro neon signs, exposed brick and vibrant tile.
